Today, dentistry is more comfortable, efficient, and beneficial to our patients because of the technology and the training we pursue. We will continue to use the most advanced procedures and technology to keep increasing your level of comfort, and for achieving the highest level of quality. Conventional dentistry provides a level of dentistry that is valuable to many people. However, we’ve chosen to move to higher level to provide what we believe is in the best interest of our patients.

Patient Safety

Our top priority is your health and safety. Therefore, we heat-sterilize instruments not disposed of and disinfect fixtures using protocols that exceed government regulations. In addition, our water systems are constantly filtered and treated to remove bacteria.

We perform safer, digital x-rays. Computerized Digital Radiography (CDR) eliminates the concern about radiation safety because it requires 90% less radiation than conventional film x-rays.

Whiter Smile - In An Hour

Many times discolored teeth are the only concern keeping you from having a more confident smile. Many patients prefer in-office whitening because of the short amount of time needed and the fact that at-home products require a specific regimen to get the effect they want. In-office whitening can erase deep stains and in many cases even tetracycline stains.

Using a high-intensity pen-size light, the whitening technician shines it for one minute on a light-activated gel placed on each tooth (about 3 times per tooth). This method doesn’t produce the extreme heat that a laser can.

Sometimes we suggest both in-office and at-home methods depending on your expectations and the condition of your teeth. To view the results of this method, click here.

No-Drill Dentistry

Certain dental cavities can now be removed without the need for anesthesia (numbing) or the conventional dental drill. Imagine your visit without the noise, heat and vibrations of a drill.

By using a small air-powered instrument we remove decay with the whisper quiet
spray of safe micro particles. We are also able to use this device in many adult tooth restoration procedures.

See Your “Finished” Smile Before…

Before your treatment begins we can develop an exquisite laboratory crafted, revolutionary 3-dimensional model that shows your new smile in the color you want with natural translucency.

The model empowers you to preview, give suggestions, make changes and approve your personal "Smile Plan" before treatment. The Master Diagnostic Model (MDM) also gives us and you significant assurances of how well your new smile can feel and function.

Leave with a confident smile. Confident in lasting quality and comfortable feel for years to come, and its natural and transforming look and beauty. Ask us about the MDM during your consultation.

The Master Diagnostic Model® shows a balanced, natural smile.

No-Scalpel Surgery

No-scalpel surgery helps us achieve a tissue level that is in harmony with your teeth. Gum tissue is a protective covering of the bone that supports your teeth. However, it can encroach on your smile. This can be unhealthy but it also can produce a less-than-confident smile. To correct these conditions, we use a no-scalpel surgery method called electrosurgery.

It’s more comfortable than laser surgery because it doesn’t generate high-intensity heat of a laser. It causes no bleeding and is efficient at producing results without tissue inflammation.

IntraOral Camera

Deciding on what is best for you can be overwhelming without good information. The intraoral camera provides you with this information. Besides our digital x-ray information and conversations, we can now add visual data to your resources for determining the care you want.

In the past, understanding your dental health was mostly left to your imagination. The intraoral camera, about the size of a pen, lets you see up-close exactly how your smile looks, and the condition of your teeth, on a television screen. It helps us diagnose the condition of your smile in ways that weren't possible before.

Dr. LaCosse can show you your teeth during the examination. See what your teeth look like in detail. We’re helping you better understand how current and future dental care can affect the overall health of your smile.

“Relaxing Dentistry”

Keeping our patients comfortable throughout the dental visit is vital to providing the highest quality care. We use nitrous oxide (relaxing gas) and a gentle touch. We provide headphones to listen to your favorite CD. On our wall mounted televisions you can watch a cable program, or bring in a video or DVD movie of your choice. There is no reason your experience shouldn’t be as relaxing as you want it to be.

CAESY Smile Education

CAESY is an interactive modern dentistry education system providing a full range of interactive multimedia. It has over a hundred presentations featuring full-motion video, 3-D graphics, and computer animation. See and understand the treatment options available to you. Before-and-after smile images can help you visualize the positive impact fine dentistry can have on your health, appearance, and self-confidence.

Smile Channel (DVD)

The Smile Channel can be seen in our reception area. It is an education program that provides an entertaining, learning experience while it shows the benefits of cosmetic/esthetic dentistry. The high quality DVD presentation shows current dental procedures such as porcelain veneers, whitening, bonding and restoring old fillings.

Because of the options you have available today we can no longer just say, ”You need this.” We give you the information you need to make an informed decision about our recommendations.
